Heritage Gardeners to have amaryllis bulb sale

Date:

By Karolyn Gephart

Amaryllis are the stars in the Heritage Gardener Fall Bulb Sale underway September 1-28, 2020. The bulb fundraiser will help with clubhouse costs and maintenance.

The six varieties are all beautiful, colorful and ready to flourish whether forced for the holidays or planted for a spring blooming season. Varieties include Half & Half, Marquis (double white), Blossom Peacock (Db. Red & White), Lime Flare, Apple Blossom and Minerva.

Amaryllis bulbs are some of the easiest things to use in the landscaping and the plant has attractive long leaves with stunning blooms in vivid colors.

The six being offered by the club are in limited amounts and will be sold as long as quantities are available. Buyers have a choice of direct ordering from a garden club member or online with credit card at the Heritage Gardener Square Store. Information on both the store and how to receive a form by email will be posted on the Heritage Gardener Facebook page as well as on their website at www.heritagegardener.org.

Forms will also be available for pickup on the porch of the Garden clubhouse at 112 W. Spreading Oaks. Orders with checks will be mailed.

Go to the Heritage Gardeners Facebook page to connect to their online store or go to www.heritagegardener.org to get information on how to order.

Pickup for the bulbs will be in Friendswood on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Heritage Garden clubhouse by curbside pick up from 10 am to 1 pm. The clubhouse is located at 112 W. Spreading Oaks in Friendswood.
