Military Moms and Wives of Brazoria County have started to gear up for 2020 Christmas Care packages to Deployed American Heroes..

They will be sending care packages to  American Heroes who are deployed during the 2020 Christmas holidays. If anyone knows of a man or woman who are part of this deployed group, send their name and address, including the APO address  in a message to the Military Moms and Wives group via Facebook.
Their goal is to make sure American Heroes are not being forgotten. Their mission statement is as follows: We are here to support the moral and spiritual health of our American Heroes in the armed forces in combat zones around the world through the letters and care packages that are hand packed with love and are shipped by caring volunteers who support all branches of service.

The group was not able to send summer care packages in a mailout due to COVID 19 virus issues. They were unable to get bulk supplies and some military locations were not receiving packages.

The work to create the many Christmas packages has begun. They are currently in need of beef and chicken ramen soup (no cup ramen), individual drink mixes, peanut butter, and letters to military personnel from children (Including Christmas cards from youth).

Much needed items include razors, foot powder and Q-tips no larger than packages of 300 swabs. In the past, the group has sent baby wipes but due to the pandemic, cannot order them and must get whatever they can find on shelves.

The Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council recently donated 27 pallets of assorted Girl Scout cookies. Cookies will be shipped in the 2020 Christmas. Members of the Texas National Guard helped move the pallets of cookies to get them ready to be packed.

Anyone who would like to donate to help with postage can do so by mailing a check to MMWBC, PO Box 2345, Angleton, Tx 77516.

Their office is located at 313 West Mulberry  in Angleton.

Get updates about the Christmas Care Package project by following the group on Facebook or visiting their website at http://militarymomsandwives.org/.
