The Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau (PCVB) is excited to announce the launch of a cutting-edge, digital gastro-passport promoting Pearland as an essential culinary destination.
The gamified foodie trail went live on the Bandwango platform on March 11 and encourages participants to check in at multiple restaurants for points towards a quarterly prize from the PCVB. The project highlights locally owned businesses serving international dishes that give guests a taste of the distinct cultures that make Pearland one of the most diverse and delicious cities in Texas. Restaurant owners are given the option to offer discounts to trailgoers and are responsible for providing a special code that visitors must use to check in to their location.
“This venture is both a fun and interactive way to showcase our destination and an opportunity to encourage visitors to get a taste of what we have to offer in Pearland,” said Tracy Rohrbacher, Executive Director of the PCVB. “It’s a passion project for our team and we’re excited to see it unfold.”
The first seven restaurants on the crawl range from Italian to Szechuan and from Mediterranean to Malaysian. The PCVB hopes to see the list grow exponentially as the project progresses, and invites both businesses and community members to email them at pearlandcvb@pearlandtx.gov
