Support for Marcus Rives for GCCDD

Date:

Dear Editor,

I am writing in support of Marcus Rives for Galveston County Consolidated Drainage District, Position 3.

Over the past 4 years, I’ve observed Marcus’ willingness to study projects brought before the Drainage District to gain a better understanding of our flooding issues. This has opened the door for him to champion positive change for projects that reduce flooding in our region.

In addition to serving on GCCDD, Marcus serves on two regional flood control committees, the Dickinson Bayou and Clear Creek Watershed Steering Committees. Flood Control is not something a single entity can resolve. It takes multiple entities working together to solve the issues in our region. Marcus has willingly shared his knowledge and is a huge contributor to these regional committees.

Marcus is a team player. He works well with fellow GCCDD members and other entities in an effort to achieve success for flood control in our region.

Marcus has a wealth of knowledge on flood control and has demonstrated a willingness to give back to our community. That is why I’m supporting him for re-election to GCCDD.

Please join me in voting for Marcus Rives!

Sincerely,
Gary E. Harris
