March 31st – Second Installment deadline for 2021 property taxes for seniors, disabled persons, disabled vets, surviving spouses of disabled vets and those taking advantage of disaster installments.
April 7th
Last day to register to vote (or update address information) for May 7 th local elections and State Constitutional Election.
April 26th
Effectively Protest Value Class, County Commissioners Workshop Room, 722 Moody (aka 21 st Street) in Galveston starting at 6pm.
May 3rd
Effectively Protest Value Class, Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center, 400 West Walker in League City starting at 6pm.
May 10th
Effectively Protest Value Class, COM Learning Resource Center (Room LRC 131 across from the library) 1200 Amburn, Texas City starting at 6 pm. Possible change to COM Conference Center on side of campus along Monticello. Please watch GCTO website or call 409-766-2284 to confirm location!
May 16th
Deadline to call to schedule protest meeting, mail protest form or file online protest at County Appraisal District.
Voter registration applications are available at all County Tax Office branches (8 am to 5 pm in Galveston, League City, Santa Fe and Texas City and satellite offices in Friendswood open every Thursday and Friday and Crystal Beach from 8 am to 4:30 pm the third Tuesday of each month), the Voter Registration Department in Galveston or online at www.galcotax.com (under the Voter Registration tab). Tax payments may be mailed to GCTO, 722 Moody, Galveston, Texas 77550, left in GCTO drop boxes (outside each full time branch location) or paid online ( www.galcotax.com ) via electronic check ($1 fee) or credit card (2.5% merchant fee).
