Friendswood Leads UIL District Poetry and Prose

On Friday, March 25th, the UIL FHS Poetry Team and the Prose Team competed at the UIL District 22 – 5A contest, held at Friendswood High School.

Many of the students were also participating in the high school’s One Act Play competition of Macbeth.

In UIL Poetry Interpretation, Gabi McGregor took 1st place by unanimous decision. Colby Clayton took 3rd place and Hayden Hobb took 4th place. McGregor and Clayton will advance to UIL Regionals.

In UIL Prose Interpretation, Balint Kidd took 1st place by unanimous decision. Connor Adams took 2nd place and Justin Paulder took 3rd place, also by unanimous decision. Kidd, Adams, and Paulder will all advance to Regionals.
