Time to prepare for area Easter Egg fun

Children In the area are preparing their Easter baskets for fun activities involving eggs.

They will get a chance to meet the Easter Bunny at Pearland’s Spring Fling Saturday April 9 from 9 am to 2 pm at 3939 Allen Road in Pearland. Along with a bounce house, the event has the Easter Bunny hiding over 800 eggs for hunting. The event benefits the Pearland Canine Resource Center. A classic and import car show will be held along with a 20 plus item silent auction and 50 plus vendor market. Matt Beisner from Dog Impossible and Grey Wolf Canine Rehab will be talking about dog behavior. He will also be doing mini classes.

First United Methodist Church Pearland Egg Hunt is slated for Saturday, April 9 at 10 am. Egg hunts will be offered for all ages along with crafts, and breakfast tacos. Also in Pearland April 9 will be the 2nd Annual Springtime Show-N-Shine at the VFW Post 7109 at 4202 W. Walnut. The annual car show will also offer 50/50 raffles and a big Easter Egg Hunt. The event will run from noon to 7 pm.

New Hope Church Spring Market and Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 9 from 10 am to 4 pm at 3640 CR 58 in Manvel. The market is a fundraiser that supports the NHC Camp Scholarship fund for New Hope Kids and New Hope Student ministries. For more information visit https://newhopechurch.tv.

On Sunday, April 10 in Friendswood, Easter in the Park is returning to Stevenson Park at 1100 S. Friendswood Drive. The Lions Club and the City of Friendswood are hosting the event. A huge Easter Egg Hunt and photos with the Easter Bunny will be offered. The event is free for ages 0-10 and there will also be an adaptive egg hunt offered.

Alvin Parks and Recreation Department are offering a Lights Out Easter Egg Hunt for ages 0-12 on Thursday, April 14 at 8 pm in Briscoe Park. The event is free but pre-registration is required. Egg Hunt in the Hangars is being offered by the Lone Star Flight Museum Saturday, April 16. Admission is $5 for all ages. The events take place between 9 to 11 am. From 9:30 to 9:45 am, ages 3 and younger will have their hunt in the Flight Academy and Heritage Gallery. From 9:50 to 10:05 am, children ages 4-6 will hunt in Waltrip Hangar. Children ages 7 and 8 will hunt in Heritage Hanger from 10:10 to 10:25 and those ages 9 and 10 will have their Easter Egg Hunt in the LSFM Ramp from 10:30 to 10:45 am. The event will also have EGGciting activities, prizes and photo opportunities throughout the event. Golden Eggs at the event will hold special items from the LSFM gift shop. LSFM is located at 11551 Aerospace Avenue in Houston.

Children in the area are not the only ones who will be having Easter Egg fun. The Alvin Parks and Recreation Department is hosting their Adult Easter Egg Hunt April 14 at 9 pm in Briscoe Park. The event is open to all ages 18 and over. The fee is $15 per person with limited space available. There will be raffles to win large prizes such as a Penn Fishing Pole, Piscifun Tackle Bag, a TV, Whataburger for a year, a free month car wash and more. Why should children have all the fun? Stanfield Properties 5th Annual Jelly Bean Fling will be held Saturday, April 16 from 11 am to 2 pm at 807 S. Friendswood Dr. in Friendswood. Free professional photos with the Easter Bunny, food trucks, and a huge Easter Egg Hunt will be offered.
