City to host Severe Weather Open House

Date:

The City of Friendswood Office of Emergency Management will host a Severe Weather Open House at the Friendswood Public Library on Tuesday, June 7 from 5 to 7 pm.

The come and go event will have safety and weather information available from various City Departments, utility providers, Texas Department of Insurance, Texas Wind Insurance Association and other local partners.

The Friendswood Fire Department, Police Department, and EMS will have emergency response equipment on display in the parking lot. Come see what equipment would be used during floods and other emergencies within the City.

The goal of this event is to provide an opportunity for residents to learn what local officials do during Severe Weather and what they can do to prepare for emergencies.

For additional information, contact the City of Friendswood Office of Emergency Management at 281-996-3335 or visit friendswood.com/prepare.
