Amy Etchberger will join Carleston Elementary after serving as an assistant principal at Lawhon Elementary since 2017. Etchberger holds a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from University of Houston Clear Lake and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Lamar University. With 16 years of education experience having previously served as an 8th grade science teacher at Pearland Junior High East, Etchberger is excited to become a Carleston Cub, grow relationships with the students, staff and families and build upon a great community. “My vision for Carleston is to grow students academically, socially, and emotionally alongside all stakeholders. I believe we are all important and valuable,” she said.
Amanda Windsor, Cockrell Elementary
Amanda Windsor, currently the assistant principal at Shadycrest Elementary, will return to Cockrell Elementary where she joined the Pearland ISD team in 2017 as an AP. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in history from University of Houston Clear Lake and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Lamar University, Windsor spent the next 13 years dedicated to education with Pearland ISD. She looks forward to sharing her passion and excitement for learning and to helping students and teachers grow. “My ultimate goal is to create a climate and culture that not only are conducive to learning but one where students, teachers, parents and the community feel welcome. It will be my mission to assist teachers in identifying their strengths and empowering them to develop their skill set to better serve our students. I want Cockrell to be a place where students thrive, and teachers feel encouraged and supported,” she said.
Stacie Muras, Silvercrest Elementary
The assistant principal at Challenger Elementary since 2019, Stacie Muras will join Silvercrest Elementary with more than 16 years of experience in education. Muras graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in science and a master’s degree from Lamar University in Educational Administration.
