A trip is planned to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston on Friday, August 19 at 10 am. Tickets are $5 to KAC and $16 (65-plus) or $19 (under 65) for the museum ticket.  The trip is planned to see the work of conceptual  artist Leandro Erlich who creates visual paradoxes and optical illusions that force viewers to question their perception of reality.

The show, Seeing is Not Believing features two of Erlich’s most iconic installations: Façade and The Psychoanalyst’s Office. These are immersive room size environments. Also on exhibit will be a selection of additional works that span his career.

Comments about his work include that his psychological subversion of the everyday seems to defy the basic laws of physics while challenging one’s sense of balance, space and the absolute.

The Grub Club is planning a trip to Portara Mediterranean restaurant in Pearland on Thursday, September 8 at 11 am at 2740 Broadway St.

A special Fall Fling at the West Pearland Community Center is set for Thursday, September 23 from 1 to 3 pm at 2150 Country Place Parkway. The Fall Fling includes a dance with music and fun door prices. The event is open to the public also 50-plus. Registration is required and underway now.  Cost is $5 for Knapp members.
