Pearland Little League demonstrated last night that they still have plenty of fight left in them as they defeated the Midwest Region team from Davenport, Iowa.
Pearland suffered their first loss in the World Series against Hawaii on Monday night, moving them to the elimination bracket where they still have a shot at the championship. However, one more loss would mean elimination from the tournament.
Tonight they face the Mid-Atlantic team from Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. This will be their second game against Hollidaysburg after an 8-3 victory in Game 8.
The Mid-Atlantic team has been on a winning streak since then, eliminating the New England, Metro, and Great Lakes teams. Their last victory was a 10-0 shutout against Great Lakes.
