INVITATION TO BID
Sealed bids in duplicate will be received at the offices of Brazoria Drainage District No. 4. The deadline for bidding is July 20, 2023 at 10:30 am (CST). No late bids will be accepted. All bids will be publicly opened after the deadline for the following improvements in Brazoria Drainage District No. 4:
23609 – CONCRETE PAVING SERVICES ANNUAL CONTRACT
The scope of the project includes concrete paving items, stormwater junctions and collars, dewatering, and other miscellaneous items. Quantities will be determined on an as needed basis for in the coming year.
Bid Documents may be examined or obtained without charge in the offices of Brazoria Drainage District No. 4, 4813 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be at the offices of the District, 4813 West Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 10:30 am.
A Cashier’s Check, or bid bond payable to Brazoria Drainage District No. 4 in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of $500,000.00, as outlined in the Contract Documents, must accompany the bid. This amount has been determined based upon the District’s 2022 expenditures and it not necessarily representative of anticipated expenditures in 2023.
The successful bidder receiving Contract awards must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) each of the assumed total Contract price of $500,000.00. Each such bond shall be executed by a corporate surety authorized to do business in the State of Texas.
Prior to acceptance of a contract by the District, the successful bidder must furnish a Certificate of Insurance together with a receipt showing the time period for which the premium has been paid, from an approved insurance carrier for the required coverage as prescribed in the bid documents.
The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive bidding informalities. Those bids deemed most advantageous to the District will be considered for the award of a Contract.
