An annual pet-themed race for all ages titled the “Ruff Runner and Yappy Hour” is planned Sept. 23 at Independence Park.
Presented by Epic Plumbing, the race includes a timed 5K plus a Kids 1K and 3K options, with four-legged friends welcomed. All finishers will receive a T-shirt and medal.
A post-race Yappy Hour takes place at the park, 3449 Pearland Parkway along with presentations of medals. The Kids K begins at 7:50 p.m., with 5K starting at 8 a.m. and 3K race beginning at 8:15 a.m.
