Entries open for holiday parade

The 41st annual Hometown Christmas Parade is being planned for 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2.

Dozens of floats, walking groups, classic cars, drill teams and more will light the evening event.

Free and open to the public, the parade takes place along FM 518 from Old Alvin Road to Pearland Parkway.

Applications for parade entries opened in August and will continue until spots are full on a first come, first-served basis. Entry is $25 per float or group.
