Dunes Day tree recycling to begin

The annual Dunes Day Christmas Tree Recycling project begins the day after Christmas, with trees being accepted Dec. 26 through Jan. 13 at the Stella Roberts Recycling Center, 5800 Magnolia Parkway.
Drop-off will be Monday through Sunday at the entrance gate. Trees must have no flocking, tinsel, or decorations. The annual Dunes Day program turns Christmas trees into sand dunes along the Brazoria County coastline to strengthen them against storm surges.
