FHS Wrestling Teams Clinch District 12-5A Titles

Both the boys’ and girls’ wrestling teams of Friendswood High School emerged victorious recently, securing the District 12-5A Titles. The triumphant event took place this past weekend at Delmar Stadium, where the teams showcased their dominance in the sport.

Assistant Athletic Director Daron Scott proudly announced the double victory, emphasizing the teams’ exceptional performance across both divisions.

“Our wrestlers have shown incredible determination and prowess, leading to this remarkable achievement,” Scott remarked.

In the girls’ division, the spotlight shone on Kiera O’Donnell, Alyssa Molina, Tracy Linklater, and Avery Beckman, each clinching victory in their respective weight classes.

Their relentless efforts and strategic gameplay set the tone for the competition, leaving an indelible mark on the tournament.

Equally impressive was the performance of the boys’ team, where Jackson Logsdon, Joshua Ellyson, Rex Gerratt, and Beckett Kim dominated their categories, each securing the top spot.

Their victories are a testament to the rigorous training and strong team spirit that define Friendswood High School’s wrestling program.

With these victories, the teams are now gearing up for their next challenge as they prepare to travel to Anna, TX, for the upcoming Regional Meet.
