Input still open for Hwy. 6 study

Public input is being accepted through Feb. 28 for the state’s Highway 6 corridor study through Brazoria County.

The Texas Department of Transportation announced the access management study will focus on the portion of Highway 6 from east of Highway 35 to the Galveston County Line, identifying ways to reduce crashes, improve mobility, and support development.

A virtual presentation regarding the study will be available online through the end of the input period on Feb. 28. This virtual meeting can be accessed at tinyurl.com/Highway6Meeting

Those without internet can call 713-802-5199 between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays to ask questions and access project materials during the project development process.

Public comments can be submitted in any language by mail to TxDOT Houston District Office Attn: advanced project development director, P.O. Box 1386 Houston, TX 77251-1386.
