Burglary
Apr. 6 (4:15 a.m.) A vehicle burglary was reported in the 16900 block of Oxnard Lane. At 4:03 a.m., the homeowner received an alert from the anti-theft device in his vehicle. He went outside, and checked on the vehicle, but did not see anyone around. He found the driver’s side door unlocked, and a computer bag had been stolen.
Theft
Apr. 1 (3:34 p.m.) A patient at Friendship Haven, 1500 Sunset Drive, reported the theft of cash from his wallet.
Fraud
Apr. 2 (8:17 a.m.) A Friendswood man’s savings account was compromised—a transfer of more than the account balance was completed without the victim’s permission.
Apr. 4 (8:43 a.m.) A Friendswood woman told police that her identity was stolen, and an individual was impersonating her on Facebook. They are using her fake profile to sell sports tickets. The victim’s identity was stolen when she fell victim to a Facebook scam and provided her identification as collateral when paying for tickets to a seller.
Apr. 5 (10:15 a.m.) A Harris County woman reported a fraudulent charge on her credit card. She confronted the manager at Luna’s Mexican Restaurant, 704 W. Parkwood Avenue, about the fraudulent charge, but was not able to get any information on who may have used her card. She was referred to her banking establishment.
Apr. 8 (10:11 a.m.) A Friendswood woman’s personal identifying information was used to open a Goldman Sachs account without her permission.
Domestic Violence
Apr. 2 (11:14 a.m.) A new warrant for a 46-year-old Houston man for Violation of Bond/Protective Order is pending. He was arrested on a prior charge of violating a protective order on March 28th; however, since his release from jail, he has continued to call and text the victim.
Apr. 6 Friendswood police officers responded to a disturbance in the 800 block of Lockmoor Lane. Before officers arrived, the suspect, Xavier, Salas, 19, of Houston, fled the scene. Salas is accused of Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member, Fleeing from a Police Officer, and Obstructing an Emergency Phone Call.
Apr. 6 (8:57 p.m.) Friendswood police officers responded to the area of El Dorado Blvd at Beacons View, where two brothers were fighting and running into traffic. Windsor EMS responded for an injury and requested Friendswood police when the Harris County Sheriff’s Office was unable to respond. One brother had a visible head injury, the other brother was detained until a Harris County deputy arrived on the scene.
Trespass
Apr. 1 (7:59 p.m.) Friendswood officers responded to Chick-Fil-A, 1757 S. Friendswood Drive, where a group of seven teenage boys were harassing employees and customers. When officers arrived, they were told that one of the boys, a 15-year-old Friendswood teen, was recording customers while they were eating and attempting to take selfies with them. The same teen has been involved in the same activity, not only at this business but at another Friendswood business. The teen was issued a criminal trespass warning and advised that he was prohibited from returning to the business.
Vandalism
Apr. 2 (9:56 p.m.) Someone threw a rock and shattered a window at a home in the 5300 block of Royal Parkway.
Traffic
Apr. 2 (9:09 p.m.) A hit-and-run crash was reported in the 16100 block of Blackhawk Blvd. A white SUV rear-ended the victim’s vehicle and then hit a streetlight.
Apr. 3 (3:22 p.m.) A hit-and-run crash was reported at the intersection of E. Edgewood Drive at S. Friendswood Drive. A witness followed the suspect vehicle and provided the description and license plate number to the police.
Apr. 6 (3:51 p.m.) A hit-and-run accident was reported in the Red Top parking lot, 402 W. Edgewood Drive. The victim’s vehicle had scrapes and dents from the passenger side rear fender to the front fender.
