Burglary
May 14 (5:42 a.m.) A burglary in progress was reported at Sole’d Out, a shoe store located at 2300 Old Road, Suite 108. The owner observed three black male suspects on a video live feed. They were driving a white SUV, Chevrolet Equinox, with a white covering over the license plate. When the police arrived, they found forced entry into the front door, but no one was inside the building.
Criminal Mischief
May 15 (12:44 p.m.) Community mailboxes were vandalized at The Park subdivision on Victoria Way. The damage occurred on April 13th between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. The front of the mailboxes was pried open, and mail was stolen. Witnesses describe the suspect as an Asian male driving a black Nissan Xterra SUV, who was parked near the mailboxes at the time of the incident.
Fraud
May 15 (8:58 a.m.) A Friendswood woman reported that her identity was stolen and used to open unauthorized accounts.
May 16 (9:49 a.m.) A Friendswood man’s personal identifying information was used to open an account with Marcus by Goldman Sachs.
May 18 (1:49 p.m.) A Friendswood woman received an insurance cancellation notice from Progressive for non-payment even though she has never opened an account with Progressive. When she called Progressive, they advised that there were three vehicles on the account. An identity theft report was filed.
May 19 (5:07 p.m.) A 47-year-old La Marque woman is accused of using the identity of her ex-husband and child. She has opened bank accounts, bounced checks, and forged checks.
Assault
May 14 (5:11 p.m.) A warrant is pending for the arrest of a 45-year-old Friendswood man who is accused of assaulting his ex-wife in the 5000 block of Watkins Way. He is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Family Member.
School Incidents
May 14 A 16-year-old Friendswood High School student was in possession of drug paraphernalia and a vape.
Other Incidents
May 17 (4:16 p.m.) Friendswood Police were called to investigate a road rage incident involving a firearm. The incident occurred at S. Friendswood Drive and E. Edgewood Drive when a motorist accidentally cut off another motorist who, in turn, threw an object at the offending vehicle. Then, that driver got upset, followed the other vehicle, and approached him on foot, while that vehicle was blocked between two cars at a stop. In fear for his safety, that man brandished a weapon and then went on his way. No criminal charges were filed in this case.
May 18 (3:01 p.m.) A 38-year-old Dickinson man backed his vehicle into the outside wall of the Icebox Exxon located at 1401 S. Friendswood Drive. The driver sustained minor head injuries. Police believe the cause of the accident was medically related and a Texas Department of Public Safety medical review was requested.
Found Property
May 13 (3:08 p.m.) An iPhone was found on a park bench in a West Ranch playground located at 2550 West Ranch Drive.
