The Friendswood ISD Education Foundation (FEF) elected a new slate of executive officers for the 2024-2025 school year during its Board Meeting on May 9. Executive officers include President Shanna Kirkpatrick, Vice President Tracy Hopkins, Vice President Brandon Kinsey, and Treasurer Russell Hillenburg.

Kirkpatrick follows FEF Director Molly Crow, who served as the Foundation’s president for a three-year term from 2021 to 2024.

“It has been such an honor to serve as President,” Crow said. “Nothing we have accomplished would have been possible without our incredible board and staff, and certainly not without the support of our community.”

Crow is described as a true champion of all things FISD and FEF, a mindset that marked her leadership and culminated in tremendous growth for the Foundation over the last three years. She shared that she is very grateful to have played a small part in making a difference for the students and teachers in FISD.

“The Foundation has achieved extraordinary heights under Molly’s leadership and that momentum will only continue to grow with Shanna stepping into her new role,” FEF Executive Director Ashley Adair said.

Kirkpatrick, who is the Founder of Chara Christian Dance Academy, has served on the Foundation for six years and participated on various FEF committees, including as chair of FEF’s Marketing Committee. She gives and serves in many capacities across FISD and the Friendswood community, professionally and personally.

“Molly has led FEF with remarkable dedication and wisdom throughout her term,” Kirkpatrick said. “It has been an honor to learn from her and I look forward to serving alongside our diligent board members, each intentional and impactful ambassadors for Friendswood ISD, in this new role.”
