The Brazoria County Historical Museum will present a program on June 27 with guest speaker Alexander Joseph Perez, also known as “Wol Ba’h” Strong Wind.
Based in California, Perez is a tribal linguist and cultural advisor for the Karankawa Kadla, a term used for those who identify as partially Karankawa.
Perez is a Karankawa descendant, singer/songwriter, and author of the book “Karankawa Kadla—Mixed Tongue, Medicine for the Land & Our Peoples.” He will share information about his culture and current Native American cultural revitalization efforts at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, at the museum, 100 E. Cedar St. in Angleton.
