Clear Creek Education Foundation Celebrates Record-Breaking Success at Annual Awards Gala

Date:

This year’s Awards Gala was an unprecedented success, breaking previous records in attendance and fundraising. The event, held at the Lone Star Flight Museum, welcomed 450 attendees—our highest number to date—underscoring the community’s deep commitment to supporting education and student success in Clear Creek ISD.

“Our awards honorees this year are incredible, and we are so excited to be able to celebrate together. I am immensely proud of how our community continues to show up for students and teachers in our district,” said Melinda Mintz, CCEF Chairperson.

The evening was marked by a record number of sponsors, whose generosity set the stage for a night filled with excitement and philanthropy. Highlights of the evening included a raffle, the Leader in Me Paddle Raise, and a Live Auction, which together raised over $173,000. Additionally, the Leader in Me Program continues to gain momentum, with commitments totaling $77,500, bringing the evening’s total to an estimated $250,000.

The CCEF Awards Gala also recognized outstanding individuals for their contributions to the community and education:

2024 CCISD Citizen of the Year, recognized by the CCISD Board of Trustees and CCEF, goes to an outstanding member of the community who consistently demonstrates commitment to CCISD and excellence in public education through volunteer efforts: Dr. Glenn Freedman
“We had an incredible event, marked by an outpouring of community support. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who helped plan, gave generously, and participated in the gala. Without the support of our community and donors, we would not be able to provide the vital resources our teachers and students need. This event is a testament to the power of coming together for a common cause, and we are truly grateful for everyone’s contribution,” said Jennifer Garcia, CCEF Executive Director.

The CCEF Awards Gala not only celebrated the achievements of our students and educators but also laid the foundation for further growth and innovation within our schools. The support garnered at this event will directly benefit programs that foster leadership, creativity, and academic excellence in our district.
