Beach cleanups set for Sept. 28

Date:

A fall Adopt-A-Beach coastwide cleanup is planned for Saturday, Sept. 28, at multiple locations, including Surfside Beach, Galveston Island, Morgan’s Point, and Bolivar Peninsula.

Volunteers are encouraged to sign up at TexasAdoptABeach.org. Check-in for volunteers begins at 8:30 a.m. on cleanup day, and they need close-toed shoes, drinking water, and a hat. Adopt-A-Beach provides all necessary cleanup supplies.

Coastwide cleanups per year are held, usually on the fourth Saturday of September and the other on the fourth Saturday in April.
