Museum hosts Karankawa presentation

The Brazoria County Museum will host a special guest speaker and presentation on the Karankawa people at 6 pm. Thursday, Oct. 17, at the museum, 100 E. Cedar St., Angleton.

Cultural advisor, tribal linguist, author, and songwriter Joseph Perez will present “Karankawas: Peoples of the Coast.” He is the author of the book, “Karankawa Kadia – Mixed Tongue: Medicine for the Land and Our Peoples.”
