Friendswood Cross Country District Results

On the morning of Oct. 10, the Men and Women of Friendswood Cross Country took to the starting line of the District 20-5A Championship. They went to war and battled it out in the Varsity Boys, Varsity Girls, JV Boys, JV Girls, and freshman boys divisions: 5 races and 5 chances to bring Mustang Thunder.
Friendswood Cross Country did exactly that, bringing some serious force to the meet: four District Champion Team titles, 1 Runner up, four Individual District Champions, and a third place.
Varsity Boys- DISTRICT CHAMPIONS
Aiden Fitzgerald- District Champion; Aiden Lowery 3rd; Alex Hillier 4th; Cooper Thompson 8th; Austin Rhea 10th; Logan Huber 11th; Kaleb Direkly 12th
Varsity Girls- DISTRICT CHAMPIONS
Addison Sapp- District Champion; Charlie Tran 2nd; Kennedy Rhodes 5th; Avery Martin 7th; McKinley Thai 8th; Ainsley Rhea 9th; Kimberly Cardenas 11th
The Varsity Teams will now advance to the Region Meet on the 22nd in Huntsville, where they will battle it out for entry to the State Meet.
The Mustangs didn’t stop after the two District Titles, though! They marched right onto the JV boys race winning a District Championship with Mustang runners taking the 1st through 9th places. They defended their Team title with a perfect score.

Next up were the JV girls, who took to the field ready to compete and run hard.  Their efforts earned them a 2nd place finish as a team.

To round out the day, the Freshmen brought #MustangThunder and delivered a solid race, defending their District title from last year. They put in the work and took home another District Championship!
