SCHS hosts active shooter training

Date:

A free public session titled Civilian Response to an Active Shooter Event, or CRASE, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 30 at Shadow Creek High School.

Held by the Alvin ISD Police Department, the session includes situational awareness, the effects of stress on behavior, recent events, crisis management, and more.

The course is based on the Avoid/Deny/Defend (ADD) strategy developed by the Texas State University Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) program.
