Pearl continues ‘Wonderful Life,’ plans for 2025

A live staging of “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” continues through Sunday at the Pearl Theater, 14803 Park Almeda Drive.

Part of the nonprofit’s 2024-25 “Season of Discovery,” the play by Joe Landry, will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with a final show at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

The box office opens for ticket sales an hour before each show. Tickets are $18 to $20.

The theater’s first show of 2025, Firebringer,” is scheduled for Jan. 10-19. “The Colored Museum” will be performed from February 21 to March 9, and the season winds up with “Willy Wonka Jr.” from April 4-13.

The Pearl Theater’s second annual ShortFlix Film Fest is set for Jan. 20-25. Filmmakers are invited to submit short works of 12 minutes or less in various genres. The short film fest includes an awards ceremony and a people’s choice award to be selected by attendees. Deadline for film submissions is January 1.
