Alvin Community College ranked second in the state with the highest number of graduates either finding employment or transferring to further their education after graduating.
The assessment was conducted by Houston Landing and based on data from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).
Nearly 97 percent of all ACC graduates were either employed or transferred to another institution to continue their education, which was second best compared to all Texas community colleges, according to the data.
“This data provides a strong indication regarding the quality education provided by ACC,” said ‘Bel Sanchez, Board of Regents chair. “ACC is successfully fulfilling its mission to provide excellent education and training for our students.”
The statistics are based on the 2021-22 school year, which is the most recent data available. The data was compiled by the THECB, which tracked students after graduating with the assistance of the Texas Workforce Commission and the U.S. U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
