Brazoria County Historical Museum Celebrates Black History Month

Date:

Join the Brazoria County Historical Museum as we celebrate Black History Month with “Homemade: Comfort Foods Throughout Black History” on Thursday, February 20, at 6 pm. This is the second event in the “Homemade” series led by Library and Archival Manager Blue Schuler, who will showcase historic recipes in the Museum’s collection.

Schuler will explore Black cuisine specifically, allowing attendees to learn more about where different foods came from in Black cultures and communities and the lives of the Black individuals who created these recipes. Enjoy samples of the recreated dishes, such as a Texas staple: barbeque.

Be sure to mark your calendars and join us at the Brazoria County Historical Museum, 100 East Cedar, in Angleton. This event is free and open to the public. You will not want to miss this delicious program!
