Fire Dept., city earn recognitions

The Pearland Fire Department was recognized at City Hall last week by the Texas Fire Chiefs Association Best Practices Recognition Program, which honored the department’s excellence in administration, training, and community outreach.

Also, at the city council’s January 27 meeting, city officials received an “open government and compliance transparency star” from the Texas Comptroller of Government Accounts. This award recognizes cities that make key financial data easily accessible to the public.
