Shadow Creek opened their UIL basketball playoff run Tuesday night, defeating Ft. Bend Clements 71-60 to take the Bi-District Championship. Michael Collins led the Sharks with 27 points, with University of Houston signee Bryce Jackson tossing in another 20 to push Shadow Creek to victory. Clements’ Aziz Olajuwon led the Rangers with 17, while brother Malik Olajuwon chipped in 16 in the loss.
Shadow Creek’s win advanced them to the Area Championship on Friday against the Kingwood Mustangs. The Sharks came out swarming the Mustang’s offense, taking a strong 38-8 lead on multiple steals into the halftime break, and went on to devour the Mustangs 68-30 to win the Area Championship and advance to the Regional Semi-Finals. Bryce Jackson led Shadow Creek with 18 points, while Aiden Law contributed 15 in the effort.
Shadow Creek now stands at 31-2 overall and takes on George Ranch (23-12) in the Regional Semi-Finals on Tuesday, February 25 at 6 pm at Delmar Fieldhouse.
