Christmas Train holds opening weekend

The Alvin Christmas Train begins a new season this Friday and Saturday, Nov. 24 and 25, featuring miniature train rides through lighted holiday scenes from 6 to 9 p.m. at Victory Camp, 1407 Victory Lane, Alvin.

Pizza, popcorn, hot chocolate, cookies, and a general store are also available.
The annual holiday event hosted by LS Church will continue on Dec. 1-2, Dec. 7-9, Dec. 14-16, and Dec. 19-23, opening at 6 p.m.

Train rides are $12, and tickets can be purchased in advance or with limited on-site availability. For information or advance tickets, visit thechristmastrain.com.
