The Friendswood Police Department arrested Thomas Jonathan Latin, 26, of Webster, on charges of sexual assault. Latin was taken into custody at his Webster residence on the morning of August 28. He faces two counts of sexual assault stemming from incidents reported by victims in November 2023 and August 2024.
At the time of the alleged assaults, Latin was employed as a massage worker at a chiropractic clinic in Friendswood. However, police have since revealed that Latin was not a licensed massage therapist. Instead, he was working under the authority of a chiropractor at the clinic.
Following an investigation into the allegations, Friendswood Police indicated that the nature of the assaults and Latin’s methods for gaining compliance from his victims suggest there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. Latin has since been terminated from his position at the clinic.
FPD is urging anyone with information about additional victims or incidents involving Latin to contact them while stressing that the privacy and safety of all victims are of utmost importance.
“Support services and resources are available to assist individuals affected by sexual violence,” reads a statement issued by the police department. “We encourage anyone who has been a victim, whether or not they have reported the incident, to reach out for help.”
