PISD to sell surplus property on Pearland Parkway

Date:

Pearland ISD Trustees this month have authorized the sale of 45 acres of district-owned land east of Pearland Parkway, declaring it a surplus property.

“This is just the board saying, ‘we do not need this land,’” Superintendent Larry Berger said. “This is the first step to allow us to sell real property.”

Selling the property is about a 12-month process from the initial required bid invitation to closing. Trustees during that meeting expressed interest in issuing a request for proposals for real estate agent services.
