Ticket sales are underway for the 13th Annual Pearland Lions Club 51 Gun Raffle planned for Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 6 pm at Knights of Columbus Hall in Pearland.

Usually held each year in June, due to COVID-19, this year’s event was postponed until the August date.

At the 2020 event, 51 premium weapons are being raffled off along with a live auction containing such items as fishing trips, hunting trips, bird/duck and deer trips, and family get-a-ways.  There will be over $70,000 worth of guns being raffled. The event will also offer 52 card raffles for what the Lions Club is advertising as “awesome handguns.”

Tickets are $25 each for the raffle or five for $100.  The ticket also provides a baked potato dinner with all the trimmings prepared by Bottomless Pit Cooking Crew.

This year’s event will follow State guidelines for COVID-19. Temperature checks will be taken at the door. Masks are required and tables will be spaced apart.

The KC Hall can hold 818 and this event will be limited to only 409 attending to provide social distancing measures.

A Special VIP table for 8 people is available for purchase. VIP tables are placed center stage where eight friends feast on a full course steak dinner and their own beverages and waitstaff. Tables come with a Weatherby rifle centerpiece in a 6.5 Creedmore caliber, covered in Gameguard Camo, with a mounted 3×9 Leopold scope. Also the purchaser will have sponsor recognition with plaque and name on the table. Price is $2500 per VIP table.

The evening’s schedule is as follows: dinner at 6 pm; Phase 1 Raffle at 7 pm; Live Auction at 8 pm and Phase 2 Raffle at 10 pm.  Popular and talented local auctioneer Tommy Coler will be handling the auction.

All proceeds benefit Pearland Lions Club Charities and Building Fund. According to member Glen Moreau, 50 percent of the proceeds is given to Texas Lions Camp and the remaining 50 percent is given to over a dozen charities in the Pearland Area. Each year the Pearland Lions Club gives back over 150k to the Pearland community.

Tickets for the event may be purchased at Pearland Animal Hospital, Silvercreek Dental, Warfield Electric, ADDI Printing, or from any Lions Club member.

Guns for the event are provided by Bailey’s Firearms Country.

Knights of Columbus Hall is located at 2320 Hatfield Road in Pearland.
