BBQ Fundraiser supports Senior Citizen Program

Date:

The City of Friendswood recently held its 12th annual BBQ Fundraiser, an event dedicated to supporting the Friendswood Senior Citizen Program (FSCP). The fundraiser took place on June 27 from 11 am to 1 pm, attracting a large crowd eager to enjoy delicious BBQ meals and contribute to a meaningful cause.

This year’s BBQ Fundraiser offered attendees chopped brisket BBQ sandwiches, potato salad, baked beans, cookies, and water. Both dine-in and to-go options were available, with free delivery for orders of ten or more meals within city limits.

The event saw a fantastic turnout, with community members coming together to enjoy great food and support Friendswood’s senior citizens. The fundraiser’s pricing was set at $12 for adults and a discounted rate of $8 for seniors aged 50 and above, making it accessible for all.

The proceeds from the BBQ Fundraiser directly benefit the Friendswood Senior Citizen Program, which provides essential services, activities, and support to the city’s senior population. The FSCP plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors, offering everything from social activities and educational programs to health and wellness resources.

Thanks to all the volunteers, participants, and sponsors like HomeTown Bankand Walmart, the BBQ Fundraiser was a resounding success.
