Clear Springs High School in Clear Creek ISD has officially named its basketball court in honor of longtime coach Pam Crawford, recognizing her extraordinary contributions to the school, her athletes, and the game of basketball.

Crawford, who has dedicated 37 years to coaching and teaching, is celebrated for her relentless passion, leadership, and impact on generations of student-athletes. Her career includes coaching tenures at Crosby and Clear Brook before establishing a lasting legacy at Clear Springs. Under her guidance, the Chargers achieved remarkable success, winning 16 district championships and 23 playoff appearances, including two trips to the state playoffs. She was named District Coach of the Year 12 times and amassed 711 career wins.

“The reason my dream journey ended with 711 wins, Clear Springs naming a court after me and being inducted into the Hall of Fame Class of 2025 is because people decided to take a chance on me,” said Coach Crawford during the Dedication Ceremony. “I had the opportunity to coach some of the most outstanding athletes to ever play the game. They gave me the memories of a lifetime,” she added.

Beyond her high school achievements, Crawford has left a permanent mark on basketball at the national level. She was invited to coach in the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) All-Star Game and served as a coach for the U17 USA Basketball team trials. Her contributions have been recognized statewide and nationally, including her recent distinction as one of the top 100 basketball coaches of all time by the Texas UIL.

“If the difference between ordinary and extraordinary is just that little extra, then the difference between extraordinary and legendary is immeasurable,” said Clear Springs head golf coach and teacher Jacob Clark. “Legends help ordinary people believe in themselves so passionately that they’re able to accomplish extraordinary things. The impact Pam has had on others is truly immeasurable. Pam Crawford is legendary.”

Current and former students, staff, leadership, family, friends, and community members gathered to celebrate Crawford’s career at a special ceremony, where the newly named Pam Crawford Court was unveiled. The varsity boys basketball team also went on to clinch the 24-6A District title following the ceremony by defeating Clear Brook High School 57-45.

“This event serves as a testament to her dedication, perseverance and the legacy she leaves for future generations of Chargers,” said Clark. “Pam’s greatness is truly generational. And generational greatness – that’s what legends are made of. That’s why people get courts named in their honor.”

Her dedication to the sport and commitment to student success will be further honored later this year when she is inducted into the Texas High School Basketball 2025 Hall of Fame.
